Dear Geraint,

Thank you so much for permitting me to use two of your beautiful images, “Truck_Rainbow” and “Mesa_Rain”, for the front and back covers of “Sunday Morning Rain”, a collection of songs written and sung by my brother Jesse Wilson. I have admired your work for some time, and it was a real privilege to include your photographs as part of this CD package.

We lost Jesse in May of 2008 after an all-too-brief battle with pancreatic cancer, an “orphan” disease with few, if any, effective treatments. Jesse had gone through months of radiation and chemotherapy treatments with no success, and he was suddenly faced with the question of what to do with the short time he had left. The choice he made was a product of his deep-seated faith and his love of contemporary and classic country music.

Soon after his diagnosis, Jesse was no longer able to work at the home-repair company he founded, so he turned his attention to fighting the disease that had turned his world upside down and getting back to his first love – music. In between medical treatments, Jesse focused his efforts on songwriting and recording. With the help of some friends in the music business, Jesse recorded “Almighty God” at Studio 23 in Nashville and uploaded the song to YouTube, along with some video, supplied by a friend. This experience and the resulting positive comments he received inspired Jesse to finish some partially-completed songs, write several new ones, and return to the studio to complete an entire album. The resulting CD, most of which was recorded during the last two months of his life, is entitled “Sunday Morning Rain” and represents the best of Jesse’s heartfelt songwriting and Bryan Cumming’s engineering and instrumental skills. It was only fitting then, that I contact you to obtain images I felt worthy of the effort my brother put into this album.

So, thanks again for supplying these wonderful photographs for the CD, which I am hoping will be available on iTunes by the end of the year. The commercial production run for the actual CD is scheduled for some time in October or November. In the meantime, you can contact me by e-mail for pre-production copies.

God Bless.
